fuel gauge issues?

My sister has a 05 Armada and is having issues with the gas gauge showing a quarter tank, when in fact it is empty. They've ran out of gas twice already recently. They're taking it to the dealer tomorrow since it's still under warranyt. Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem.

I'm having the opposite...fill it up, and it won't go past 1/4 of a tank.

There is a bulletin to replace just the sending unit if this happens. A lot of dealers keep the parts in stock. Make sure you take it in with a 1/4 tank or less or they usually won't work on it.

We have an 04 that has had this problem recently, ran out of gas on a busy expressway and we almost got killed because of it! Nissan won't cover 04 models, only 05 and up. They also said at 126000 miles that it's not their problem anymore. I'm the original owner and went thru a lot of problems when I first got this Armada. (Brake judder - it was at the dealer every 5000 miles until they finally developed a fix). I also found out that there were 2 recalls that we were never notified about. Just a warning to Nissan - if I or anyone in my family gets injured in this Armada - I will get the best lawyer I can and sue.

I had the sending unit replaced on my '08 Armada as well. My '04 QX56 had the brake budded issue, but by the time I brought it in Nissan had the permanent fix available.
