Fuel gauge is whack

Coming back from getting a peanut butter oreo blizzard..yum..the fuel gauge on the J30 stated 1/2 tank. Then it dropped to empty, climbed to 1/4 and back to empty. This repeated the whole way home. Sounds more like something electrical than the float going bad. Could this be a problem similar to: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....gauge

Sounds like it. The sender is the most likely candidate IMO.
