Small issue with my '95 pathfinder. When I bought my Pathfinder last year, the gas gauge was off by 1/4 tank. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I dont know how to fix it but im having a kinda similar prob. some times when i put in some gas my gauge drops down almost a half inch below empty. and other times ill put in like 50 bucks of gas and my gauge dont even move. I think it might just be the float

Try checking the wire harness connectors under the truck, coming out of the tank.I had this problem with an older Chrysler van, and after 10-15 years, the connectors/contacts get corroded. They are always exposed to the elements under there, so I'd start with that.

my pathfinder does the same thing sometimes like in the picture. my gas gauge level always fluctuates before and after i drive tho. its not a major problem for me but it can be annoying at times
