I have a 2003 Pathy LE. First week I had it I quickly realized the fuel gauge is off, as I ran out of gas when it showed 1/3 of a tank. Took it to my shop and told them to replace the faulty fuel sending unit. Except, that wasn't the fix. Now, from doing a bit more web research it seems the gauge itself is faulty. I have found on eBay sellers offering a fixed rate of between $60 and $160 to repair the faulty gauge. The general idea is, you remove the cluster, ship it to them, get it back in a week or so, repaired. They even say on their listings, generally repaired same day. So that tells me it can't be that difficult to repair. So I try to find a video, to see if anyone has repaired a cluster or gauge themselves, but there isn't one. So I'm curious if anyone on this forum has had any luck repairing the instrument cluster/fuel gauge, and if so, what's the process?

Last summer I found a few places on eBay saying they would fix my instrument cluster. I found one in Eastern Washington and I'm in Western Washington so I sent it to them (besides, they were a bit less expensive). It took about a week but when I got it back the gauge was fixed/working now. Interestingly, the temp gauge used to read just below middle, or half when it was at operating temp, and now rests just above middle. I have also recently noticed the speedometer gets stuck at 60mph, so even if I'm speeding up or slowing down it will stay at 60. It hasn't permanently stuck this way, and normally goes back to normal operation when exiting the freeway and operating at neighborhood speeds, or after the car is powered down and restarted. So, it hasn't been a "perfect" solution, but at least I can tell if I'm running out of gas.

@livemeyer

Can you share the seller on eBay?

I found one in NJ for $74 plus $30 shipping. I might go with them when we go on vacation when the car is sitting for a week.
