I know many people have issues with their senders making their car always say the tank is empty, but have been unable to find any information that regards my specific issue. My fuel gauge, in its entirety, doesn't turn on. To my understanding, there is a scale for that gauge that is always on, but that area remains blank. I ran the cluster test and still nothing appeared on the gauge. This is what I see:

So I'm doubting its the power supply module, although it probably wouldn't hurt for me to look at that too.
So I guess my question is, has anyone seen this happen before? If so, what caused it? I have many years of electrical experience so I can easily repair the cluster if need be; I'd rather not try and find a replacement.

So where should I look first?

Mine will read until I get down to a half a tank and then it goes blank and the E light just blinks (Digi Dash), Maybe try the fuel sending unit?

I'm not sure that the sending unit is the issue though, as the entire gauge disappears. Shouldn't the scale still be displayed?
