fuel gauge adapter help

I bought this fuel gauge adapter with gauge:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-2 ... UM-800199/

however, when I went to install I realized the stock fuel line coming off the fuel filter is smaller than 3/8"...I'm guessing 1/4"?? well the adapter doesn't fit, is there an easy way to get it to work or is there an adapter that's better?

I don't think using 2 3/8"-1/4" adapters on both sides of the fuel gauge adapter would be a good idea but am open to hear what others have done. Thanks.

For reference, stock line is 5/16, but I believe OP found an adapter on ebay.
