to remove the float is the only option to drop the tank or can u pull it out from top?

think it comes out w/ the pump???

It comes out with the pump through, just open the trunk or hatch whatever you have and you will see a panel on the right side that has 4 10mm bolts holding it down with a wire loom going into it. Remove these four bolts then you will see the pump in the tank, remove the fuel lines and the 6 8mm bolts holding the pump on the tank. Then carefully pull the pump upwards while sort of guiding the float arm throught the hole so you dont bend the float sender thing. After you get the pump out the float just pops right off.
