is it really hard to change the fuel ilter on a 96 maxima

No, just undo the two clamps on either end of the filter. Remove the hoses and attach them to the new filter.

Before you unscrew the fuel filter from the hose, you needto pull the fuse to the fuel relay after you start your car.Let it stall and try to start. If it wont start, then you canunscrew the fuel filter.

When you restart put the fuse back in. The fuse cover detailswhich fuse you should pull. On my 95 and my wifes 98 maximait is fuse #32.
