Seems pretty simple to get to. Look at the diagram on page 139

disconnect the battery, get a pan handy for when you bleed the lines.

If I remember correctly it's on the back right hand side.

Disconnect the fuel line (and clamps) from the hoses and get ready because it's going to flow.

Insert the new filter, reconnect all hoses and clamps, reconnect batteryterminal, and run your engine... CChances are you'll never notice the change unless you've got mad mileage on the one you're replacing.

good luck

Don't get yourself killed. Just look at your fuse panel under the dash. With the relays on the right, take out the Fuel Pump fuse. It is the third one down on the right bank of fuses and is a 15a fuse, only one there, I think.OK with the fuse out, start your car. It will die after a few seconds. Now you can take off the fuel filter without spraying gas everywhere. After replacing the filter and correctly replacing the hoses and clamps, just plug in the fuse and start your car again.Check for leaks where you were working...

An interior clip popping tool will pop the lower hose off the filter in second flat, it's no fun without it. And yeh, pull the fuel pump fuse, no need to disconnect the battery.

We have a 97 thats dying at idle could a dirty filter be the problem, dont want to mess with the fuel pump.
