i just did my 60k tune up paid $550 dollars from a regular mechanic and on the 60k tune up it says change fuel filter, the mechanic didnt change it bc he said my pathfinder didnt have one

i dont think thats tru i called a dealer just to confirm if they have a fuel filter part for my path and they did, can anyone confirm if my mechanic was wrong

should i go back and make him fix it free of charge if it was supposed to be included in the 60k tune up?

What did you get for your $550.00?I'm curious to know what he did for your 60K "tune up".I suspect he didn't do much. Cars these days don't really need tune ups, in the traditional sense.Personally I think they're a ripoff.Tuneups went the way of disco, leaded gas, points, distributor caps, rotors, and gapping sparkplugs, IMHO.

The filter is located between the diff and the fuel tank...can't miss it....well some people can I guess. I just did my own 60k and spent around $150 for lubes, grease. fluids etc. and even replaced the belts and wipers. Next time, look me up.....I'd like to be on the receiving end of that!
