fuel filter/fuel pump question

Hey gang,I am in the process of trying to do the motor swap in my vert, but have to wait until the kids start back to school to get the rest of the parts (1000 a month for daycare - 300 a month after school starts). Anyhow, my question is can I use the fuel filter from the 300 zx (I think that is the one recommended for the SRmotor after) with the stock KA. And can I also install the Walboro 255 in ahead of time as well? I have some real bad hesitation after engine has been run for a bit and suspect the fuel filter and I know the fuel pump might be a bit weak. If I'm gonna replace them anyway can I just cut to the chase and replace them with the future parts now? Any help you guys can throw this way is greatly appreciated.

yes you can cahnge them.

Do fuel filter first. Run the car, pull fuel pump fuse which is located in engine bay while it's running. That way fuel won't drop much when you replace filter. Then you can change fuel pump. I've been using 300zx filters with no problem.

BTW, I've had 3 bad injectors so far and problem always started with engine hesitation especially when engine is hot. I hope it's not your injector though cuz they are expensive.

They just gotta make it about another month. I will hopefully have all the parts to do the swap (engine and transmission conversion). I'm in the process of swapping a b18c(JDM) into my old Civic DX (buddy bought it). So garage is a bit tied up. My back up vehicle is my old truck and it gets horrible gas mileage, so the longer I can nurse her along the better. I'm gonna try to swap the fuel filter first and then the pump. Thanks for the reply guys.
