I'm getting ready to replace my fuel filter and read on the 240sx.org site under the 240 FAQs that you should replace the fuel filter with one from a older model 300zx? Has anybody done this? I have a 93' 240sx. What year model of the 300zx?

Also, I'd like to clean my EGR valve, what is the best way to do this? Does anyone have a picture of the EGR valve? I know it has a steel line going to it and it's near the back engine compartment. Also, I was told that replacing/cleaning the AIV valve is a good thing too. Where is the AIV valve? How do I clean it or should I just replace it. If I'm asking dumb questions please let me know........it's all a part of learning. Thanks to everyone who helps me out.

You want to use the fuel filter from a twin turbo z32 . Any year after '90 should have a twin turbo option. For the EGR, look for a diaphram with a rusty bottom at the back of the engine on the intake side. The AIV is right near that small box that has a tube connecting it to the air box. I dont know about cleaning them.
