What is the average fuel economy everyone is getting? For a 2.4 liter I don't think it is as good as it could be, especially being a 5 speed.

stock form: about 20-25 miles per gallon, depending on an individuals driving style and how well maintained the car is.

Modified: depends on what all is done. In some cases 26+ mpg is possible. While in others cases mpg is worse than stock.

In my experience, the most I have gotten is 26 mpg with an automatic transmission.

i have been averaging 29mpg mostly highway the whole time i have had it. The 240 wasn't designed with fuel economy in mind.

holy huge sig pic batman.

they do ok for an older car. hell my 89 mustang with the 2.3 sohc (98hp 125ft/lbs or torque 2,800lb too ) got me 23 on the highway and 19 in the city. so our cars do pretty good. even the bimmer im looking at does 19 city and 25 highway, 10hp more then our KA24de (inline 6) nissan did pretty good in my book.

Ka's can pull between 25-28 MPGs on average if you keep your foot out of it.

Driving ~60mph in my s14se when it was near stock got me 31 with a straight highway shot. Had full 3" exhaust, no cat, hotshot intake with a K&N filter. Stock wheels and tires too...main thing is to make sure you have a new distributor cap and rotor, plug wires, and spark plugs.

O.K. I am getting about 25.5 on the highway. Mine could probably do better but I think the engine is a bit whipped. I have heard some people call these cars Fat pigs are far as fuel effieciency. I just wanted to see if that was everyones average.
