I've been reading this forum for about three months now and this is my first post...

I am really considering buying a 240 in the future. I've been doing research on the 240 and the RB25 but have only found one person, Night, to comment on the fuel ecomony of the swap. If everything goes right (cross fingers) then I will get a S14 and do the swap with a good FMIC and a Walbro 255 fuel pump and perhaps an aftermarket intake manifold (haven't decided which may to go on that one yet). My question is what are you guys presently getting MPG wise, city and highway. I know Night covered this a while back, but since there is a lot of controversy surrounding him at the moment, I don't think I could be blamed for desiring a second opinion. Anyway, thanks to all that answer. This is a great forum and I'm glad to be a part of it.

The fuel economy is probably around 25 mpg or less. That's why you get a Honda for a daily driver :P

Look for fuel consumption specs for a GTS-t and that'll give you an idea. I don't have any firm answer.. just that guess. Might want to ask supra owners too.

It's nothing spectacular, trust me :)

Last time I filled up the tank I got 23.2 mpg. This was almost all city driving, but a bit of highway. The time before that I believe I got around 21 or 22.

I've got an RB20 though but that should give you a rough idea of what to expect. I also have a lead foot at times so I'm sure it's possible to get more if you baby it most of the time :D

Thanks guys,

I had read in the AU skyline forums that their mileage was about what you guys are getting. I didn't think that the weight difference between the 240 and the GTS-T would justify the ridiculous numbers that Night was claiming. I drive a 2000 Grand Prix GTP at the moment; hoping to sell it soon and being the 240 hunt. I know it's getting harder to find those "good" ones. Anyway, I get about 21.1 mpg according to my Driver Information Computer. That's combined Hwy and City. When I travel, I'll reset it and see what I get just on the Hwy. I've gotten 34 MPG going to the beach and 31.? going to FL. If these are the ballpark figures for the RB25 then I'll feel at home.

Again, thanks guys.

I drive mine daily (its my only car). I have never tried to keep track of the gas milage but I drive at min. 60 miles a day which was the same I traveled on the KA and I make about the same amount of trips to and from work before I need gas. So its not much differant from the KA. I did have one leaky injector on the KA but it ran pretty good. Hope that helps. Oh and I have the 25.
