Fuel cut!!!

Ok i keep getting a pretty nasty fuel cut. I can go through first and second but when i hit around 100 in third it shuts down. It lurches forward and you have to wait a second before you get on the throttle again. I believe its due to bad coilpacks. Could this be causing my problem?

Not enough info, but your probably hitting the stock ecu rev limiter.

Well its nowhere near the rev limiter though. It cuts out and lurches forward and its pretty violent but you can get right back on it if you let off for a few seconds and then its fine. It does this in third fourth and fifth. Fifth cuts out at 130 and i know it has way more than that. Also it feels nothing like the rev limiter. Much more violent

What are the AFRs like? Sounds like it is running too rich at WOT and the ignition is suffering.

that happened to a friend that was runin to much boost without a tune. are u runin the stock boost

No im running stock boost but my coils are ****ed. It misses like crazy at idle and its running rich too. I think this is my problem and im doing the wasted spark next week so hopefully that will fix it. I dont know the afr's cause i dont have a wideband cause its basically stock

Definitely have the same problem and its been on going since i got the car running. 1- 2nd (0 mph- 40. 41mph -70) are descent then as soon as i get to 85 mph or so in 3rd she fuel cuts hard. afr goes dead lean dead lean on the wideband to. Im tuning w a safc and a wideband n still cant seem to get it right. The same is for 4th and 5th gears. Heard it may have something to do with a rich and retard safety function if the ecu detects overboost...?
