hey guys, it appears that a family member who has recently passed has left me a fair sum of money that I would like to put into my car.

I have an R33 Rb26 with CP pistons, eagle rods, ACL race bearings all around, yellow jacket coils, Tomei adj cam gears, gt35 (thinking of going gt45), N1 oil + water pump.

those are the main modifications done so far to the motor. Still running my break in tune due to lack on money to upgrade fuel system (which will be ending shortly after lawyers finish with all their legal stuff)

Ill be looking at upgrading the fuel system completely. What would you recommend for the gt45 to max it on pump fuel (only got 91 octane here :frown:)I have access to c16, but that will only be for track days. No E85 available. Running AEM S2

as well, I'll be needing some work done in the head for springs and cams.
I have Brian Crower SS Valves (std size), Tomei adj cam gears. Everything else is OEM.
What would you suggest for springs + cams and any other mods needed.

This is just a mock list of things i did with a VERY FAST search.... does this sound good or should I change anything?

Tomei Phosphor Bronze Valve Guide Set
Tomei Poncam Type-R Intake and Exhaust Camshaft - Not 100% sure on these or which springs to go along with them
AEM High Flow In-Tank Universal EFI Fuel Pump
Greddy/Tomei/RawBrokerage 11.0mm Fuel Delivery Tube
Grams Performance 1000cc Fuel Injector Kit Top Feed 11mm

Im assuming the stock fuel lines will be constrictive. Would anyone like to share input on feed/return lines for fuel?

I know this is a big/broad question. ill be looking for ~650hp daily conservative tune and whatever numbers I can get above that on track days.

Thanks for the input guys. Mucho <3

Im personally a big fan of the supertech dual valve springs with titanium retainers, also if your in need of some 1000cc injectors, I have a new set of precision 1000cc 11mm low impedance injectors (so you can still run your resistor box). I installed them into my r33 rb26 but never ran a drop of fuel through them, but i decided to go with the injector dynamics 2000cc 11mm injectors cause I might convert mine to e85 and I wanted to make sure i have that option open on my car. Shoot me an email if you wanna save some money and pick up my precision injectors. [email protected].

also the tomei poncams type b ar 260 degree cams so its a bit more streetable but also can help make an easy 600hp with the potential to handle 900-1000hp. also look into the tomei cam cap studs for extra insurance. Also you should look into the precision line of turbos, there much more efficient then the garret gt line and precision make an air cooled dual ball bearing turbos so you can delete those annoying turbo coolant lines (less things that can leak).

I'm somewhere around your setup, a bit smaller turbo, but the rest is similar.

My current fuel system is a Fuelab intank pump with electronic controlled regulator. -8an feed, -6an return with precision 1200cc injectors. Seems to be plenty of fuel to get where I wanna be on E85, should be good for you on pump of any sort or any race gas you choose. I also will reccomend you get a fuel cell if you go with custom fuel lines, as its easier to plumb everything in. At worst, get a modifiable fuel hat, and don't try to use the stock one. It was way more of a pain in the a** than it was worth in the long run. I will tell you to stay away from meth, as it is a band-aid more than a reliable fuel source. Even with the most fail safe setup you can put on it, I wouldn't trust it on any sort of DD/Weekend car.

As far as the head goes, i'm still researching the proper cams, as I just snapped my exhaust cam on the dyno. I believe I wanna go with the Kelford HL182-B cams, with a good spring setup. But it also looks like the poncams are a good choice and about $300 cheaper than the Kelford units. Not sure if the power difference gained would offset the price. I have also read multiple people say save the money on the guides and put it towards the springs. What ECU are you running? It may be worth looking into an upgrade there as well.

I agree with Largekid on getting a Fuelab pump, installing a fuel cell, and switching out your lines if you are changing to E85. It was difficult for me to plumb the OEM tank cover to accept -AN fittings so a fuel cell would have been less of a headache. However, in-tank fuel pumps have come a long way in the 3 years since I bought my Fuelab in terms of flow capacity at higher pressure. Walbro, Deatchwerks, AEM, etc. have all come out with a 340 lph pump that delivers at ~30 psi. If you are running pump gas + meth or race fuel, I'd upgrade with an in-tank pump and using stock lines. Many people have put down 650+ whp on stock fuel lines with an upgraded pump.

For things on the head like valve guides, etc. I wouldn't spend the money unless they are "bad". Cams and valve springs will likely shift the power band higher (less responsive) so you might want to wait until after you upgrade the fuel system, etc. to see if you actually need to change them out in order to get to 650+whp.

Alright, all the replies are giving me some good ideas. Sounds like I may look into a meth kit and keep my stock lines. Seems to be a PITA to change everything over to steel braided with all the fittings and such. I dont think ill go with a fuel cell tho. Cops in my area give out very large tickets for fuel cells. My buddy got a $600 one and it wasnt even hooked up.

Ill keep you guys posted if I have any other questions or ideas that come into mind.

Thansk again
