Anybody got any good FtP sites I can visit? Games is what I'm mainly interested in. I'm stuck at work all weekend and have lots of down time with nothing to do. I can only run on the treadmill for so long. I can't use Kazaa because of the firewall but FTP is always good to go!Email me if you have something.

exactly why i asked them to email me and not post it on a national board. If they're smart they would set up a username and password anyway.

you can get some keyboard drivers and linux ISO's if you were too, I dunno, go on IRC, say FDFNet, enter a chan named what you are currently looking for (HINT: Starts with w, ends with z), and banged your hand on the keyboard, resulting in an output that looks kinda like "!list"

i don't know if you'll get anything though, probably not

I steer clear of the whole "Starts with w, ends with z" thing. It's a PITA and yields some risks. Thanks though, I forgot about that.

I would avoid warez #s too. Warez is to risky for my taste, especially after the http://www.isonews.com incident(read about it on the page)!!! OMG, just a friggin modchip :P!!!

It's not software so it can't be disabled (as easily) and I wouldn't want to disable it anyway. Yes I could configure Kazaa to work with the firewall but I would have to tie up and torture the administrator for weeks straight before he gave up a password. It would be a VERY VERY bad idea to take the firewall down where I work.

u can port round it mask ur port as 20 or 21 (ftp ports) to go thou the firewall of http (:80) if u have to

when theres a will theres a way....

For games I've found DC++ to be the best. The only drawback is you must be sharing so many gigs to join the server in the first place.

You can get DC++ from http://dcplusplus.sourceforge....nload

It's an open source version of direct connect, if any one has heard of that. There's a lot of dc++ servers, only thing is you need to share to log on. Hope that helps.
