ft/lb Torqe

I drive a '98 200Sx SR powered. I have plenty of top end power and i am trying to widen the power band and get some low end as well. Any suggestions on wat i can do to increase torque without forced induction, i want to keep my motor N/A- im old school i guess haha...

There's really not much outside of boring it out that will give you much increase in low-end power.

What mods do you have now?

The only way to increase torque on a N/A is to stroke it...other than that an engine will only put out what it was designed to do according to the rod ratio... you could have a custom header made that could help with th low end but that will cost you some money..

The JWT stroker kit (which is the only one I've seen) runs ~$2k, and the labor would be very intensive. I suspect the whole shibang would be $3kish

advance the timing and get a lightweight flywheel with underdrive pulleys. That will free up around 15lb ft on the low end.

I think a good tune will give the best results. But that will get you started and you will feel the diff right away.

Torque is a function of displacement and compression ratio. BMEP and it's negative IMEP or frictional loss create the net torque output.
