I have absolutely NO time to continue with some of the projects I've started, so I'm cutting back somewhat on my commitments.

This would be a good opportunity for someone with more time than me to make some money...

I have 11 billet aluminum polished center braces with heim joints and hardware, still in the plastic. I also have a pair of FSTB "feet" that were modified from the Maxima kit.

Here's what needs to be done: You'd have to make some precision measurements of the strut towers and have someone fabricate some "feet" for these. I was thinking 1/4" billet aluminum would be the best result, but plate steel would work just as well. Shouldn't cost more than $20-$30 per set if you get 11 sets made.

I'll send you the 11 center sections, hardware, and the prototype "feet" for $250 shipped. I'll even let someone break it into 2 payments, AND I'll help you market them here on NICO.

I had planned to sell these for $125 each to keep them affordable for my NICO bro's, so you'd be looking at profits of around $450 - $500.

FYI: Ryan aka 1992Q45A MAY have some "feet" for you to replicate. That would make the process much easier. Contact him if you're interested.

It's been a couple years, but it seems like I got my FSTB from Stillen for under $100. What are they getting for them now?

Stillen sells them for $129 right now on the web...I got mine for $90 about 3 months ago with some negotiating and it fits perfect.

call stillen and ask for Kenny as he is the Stillen Q45 guy from what I understand and everybody I have spoken with at Stillen refers to Kenny for Q45 info. I think that they just want to get rid of any remaining Q45 stuff as there probably is very little demand for it

I got mine through Dan. No shipping charge, and didn't have to deal with any of the known difficulties associated with Stillen.

And what the hell is my car doing with the FSTB feet, and no bar?

I swear it has what I can only call feet. I'll compare the FSTB feet with what is installed on there

am i the only one that doesn't like the stillen bar? the bar itself is nice and beefy, but it's only adjustable on one side. that would be fine except for the fact that the bar is marginally long enough. the "stillen" doesn't sit in the center, and there's only 2 threads engaged on the adjustable side. to get that much i had to pull on the bar as hard as i could get the bolt in.

stillen obviously made a universal bar that would fit several cars using different feet. if both ends were adjustable or if the one was longer it would be ok, but why isn't the freakin bar longer?

i have three cusco stbs (2 front, 1 rear) for my S13, they don't have adjustable heim joint ends, they're made to fit the car. the bolts mounting the bar to the feet are slightly smaller than the holes, so there is only about 1/4" of adjustment. am i concerned they won't fit? nope, they're actually made to fit the car!

greg, if no one else wants to take over the project i will. i have the stillen feet, i can just get them copied or modified to work.

That'd be cool. You could possibly put them out for less $.

I like the full adjustability, as the ability to "pre-load" the bar is important - Makes a difference.

Greg, can you forward me close up pics of everything? I only have access to a pos ARC welder right now... but I want to see if I'm able to do the feet or not. Muchos Gracias.

BTW, how much were the prototype feet off by?

Corey - You have mail.

Proto feet are fine, but have a couple unnecessary holes and notches, and aren't thick enough (IMO).

I think they should be made from 1/4" stock.

How thick are they now? Are there any fitment issues? New feet shouldn't be a problem, but I'm gonna need to buy a good (MIG) welder. I can't weld worth shat with an ARC :pface .

Do you have any larger pictures Greg? I wouldn't mind detailed pictures of where the bar meets the 'foot'.

It looks like part of the foot is torqued upwards in one of the pictures. Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that actually how it is?

No, it lies flat. The strut tower actually falls away a bit there.

No fitment issues, the current proto feet are just sloppy and thin - Need to make precision measurements.
