The CT-26 isn't that bad as far as stock turbos go, but it makes me cringe to think about someone going to the hassle of fitting one to a motor that could just as easily have something better. The CT-26 MIGHT bring you to 275rwhp, and a 60-1 rebuild of the CT-26 (it works but it only lasts about a year before dying) can make about 400 rwhp, these are figures from hopped-up mk3's, including mine. I've blown three so far running 15psi, but I was dealing with backpressure issues so I'm not sure what was happening there. If you're going to go to the trouble of fitting a CT to your car, just get a T4/T3 in whatever flavor you need that will be a better turbo in the end and have more available upgrades.
