Figured I'd get more looks in the KA-T section, and will take my cordial one-day-on-the-kat-forums-before-it's-moved-to-the-for-sale-section to help me out

Mods, just move this after a day or close it and I'll just re-post.

Anyhow, I'm selling EVERYTHING needed to add an external oil cooler to your KA-T (or regular KA). I'm amazed at how few people use oil coolers on their KA-Ts, in fact, as far as I know/have seen, I am *still* the only one running an oil cooler! Oil coolers are a great idea, especially for turbocharged cars, whose turbo will definitely increase oil temperature. It does a great job all-around as far as engine-cooling goes and helps keep temps down.

The hardware I'm selling was used on my KA-T for less than 4000 miles. All of it is in perfect functioning condition; the reason I'm selling (minus the oil cooler) is that I upgraded to aeroquip fittings and lines. This DOES NOT mean that the lines/fittings I used weren't perfectly adequate for the job; they were. I had a lot of downtime when my first built KA exploded and decided to re-do some things.

Included is:

-A perma-cool oil thermostat to assure that oil temps are always maintained at the proper level (oil that is too cool can be just as damaging as oil that is too hot). Opens between 180-190 degrees.

-A "sandwich" adaptor for the KA block. It is sandwiched in between the block and the oil filter.

-Fittings, for the sandwich adaptor and the thermostat

-High quality, high temp, high pressure oil hose (1/2" ID), SAE30R2, 1400 psi rating.

-All necessary hose clamps.

-An extra 5 feet of oil-cooler hose in addition to the hose pictured.

Basically, I am selling everything you'll need to add an oil cooler to your KA-T besides the actual oil cooler itself (I use a "tru-cool" oil cooler, a cheap yet very efficient unit, used by a lot of nascar teams for those very reasons), which can be had for $50 from here:

http://www.bakerprecision.com/trucool.htm

Any oil cooler could be used, obviously, so long as the inlets/outlets will accept a 1/2" hose barb so that the rest of the lines could be used. I am more than satisfied with the quality of Tru-Cool oil coolers...the ones on the above website have 1/2" NPT ports; because I do not know which oil cooler the buyer will be using, the two 1/2" hose barb fittings for the oil cooler also are not included. If you are positive you'll be using a tru-cool oil cooler with 1/2" NPT ports, I can buy the fittings and include it in the package deal for no extra cost.

The lines are long enough to mount the oil cooler in front of the radiator/AC condensor (which means they're plenty long enough to mount near the windshield washer-reservoir, where I have mine mounted right now). Nonetheless, I'll include 5 more feet of unused oil-cooler hose, for free. I will also include the instructions for plumbing the thermostat.

PRICE

Sandwich adaptor cost me $40, thermostat cost me $50, fittings/clamps/oil line cost me another $50 or so.

I am selling for $80 shipped. All the buyer needs is a $50 oil cooler, and for $130 you'll have a high quality, thermostatically controlled oil cooler ready to help keep KA-T temps down and improve engine longevity.
