You are viewing a HKS Camshaft for the Exhaust side of the CA18DET engine.

The cam specs are as follows:

Exhaust Side

Duration 264 Degrees

Lift 8.5mm

I bought a pair of these from ebay for $700, but end up using 272 for the exhaust side. So I have no need for this one.

The camshaft is in excellent condition. Selling for US$320 shipped, firm.Email me at [email protected] if interested.

mmmmmmmmmmm... beauty.

Why dont you take that and find a guy that can regrind some to those specs, then sell those as well? You'd make a killing with those =D..

....... On a side note, I wish i had some money for that cam

sorry for the unrelated question, but how's the 264/272 setup run? any idle issues?

A little bit of lag below 2000, no idle issues.

Camshaft is still available, thanks!

A little bit of lag below 2000? Dude, most cars don't do Didley-Squat from 800-2000rpm anyway. And that camshaft set-up don't cause lag, but your turbo does.

mikesim: The 264/272 camshafts set-up offers excellent mid-power/Tq. from around 3800-rpm till around 7400rpm. The engine breathes with authority on the top end. And as for idle quality, it's just fine. With a ported head, you'll lose some vacuum at idle (3-5hg), but it's expected.

Based on the driving impression for the past week, it does feel a little more laggy down low before the boost kicks-in. Not saying it was a lot faster before, but after the 264/272 cams it does a little take longer to rev up from dead stop.

On the bright side, the cams upgrade provide awesome power from midrange all the way to redline. The motor sounds louder and so does the exhaust note. No idling issues at all, nothing lumpy or unstable.

Stay tuned for my next dyno.

thats because of the stock like lift found on that cam. Higher lift would make it more unstable at lower rpms.
