After reading the posts about the transmission, I will share my frustration with you. Some weeks ago got rearended, $1000 worth of damage. Took it in to the Body shop last week. Got a call on Friday, some bad news. Lost my keyfob( I have the inteligent key option). Picked up the car and still had not found the key. To top it off bumper was repainted in a different shade of my color. Took it back today, manager states, well silver is hard color to match, we will have to blend the paint!!! I said I dont think so, see the spoiler and door mouldings, color matches perfect, just repaint the bumper and make sure the color matches. Supposed to be done Tuesday. I will be pretty upset if they screwed it up again. They will reimburse me for replacement key, which will cost almost$200.00( including programming, which according to dealer takes 1 hour)

Two things.1) I be this key will cost more than that to have cut and recoded to your vehicle. When you get the new one, make sure the key inside the fob actually inserts and starts the vehicle.

2) In defense of the body shop, silver IS the toughest color to match. A lot of bumpers do not perfectly match the body of the car (bumpers are painted off the car in the factory, usually in a completely differnt location, and it's a plastic panel reflecting next to a metal panel). However, you DO NOT want them to blend your quarter panels to match it. Any good painter should take the extra 15-20 minutes to tint the color and do a few spray out cards to find an acceptable color match if they need to.

Well picked up the car yesterday. Much better paint job, it is stil off a bit, but I did not want it blended with the rear panels. The manager said if I had I would not be able to spot the difference. I guess I will live with it and eventually it will weather anyways. Even the rear spoiler does not completely match the factory paint. And they did find the key, was sitting in another Nissan on the lot!!
