i got some new s14 zenki headlights from pandagarage the otherday to replace my busted up ones. well...im installing them now and i find that the inner light doesnt fit the headlight plug. (the wire plug and bulb dont go into the headlight itself)
how many differend types of zenki headlights are there?
my plug is the type thet pushes in and twists to tighten. the new headlights i have have the little wire thet folds down to hold the bulb/plug into the light.
where can i find a replacement? is it a certain type etc.

if anyone has run into this before help me out, i need headlights working like yesterday!

i just need to know what bulb and socket go in these lights. i mean someone here mush have this problem before?!

EDIT: ok, apparently i have jdm headlights for my zenki wtf!
the highbeam siockets are differnt, usdm bulb/sockets do not fit. SO...where the f*** can i get jdm sockets?! this is pissing me the f*** off. ...ugh f*** panda garage.

sounds either like an h1 or an h4 headlamp bulb.

they both use the wire to hold them in.

here is a pic of an h1

and here is an h4

the h4 should be standard in the low beam of the zenki headlight. you might have the jdm headlights which have a black painted area around the outside of the lens (not visible from the front). if thats the case then it requires the jdm spec bulb which is an h3c i believe.

h3c

if it is an h3c you can use a regular h3 that you can get at any auto parts store and just ground out the bulb housing and then use your headlight positive wire on the h3 wire. the h3 bulb is commonly found in fog lights..

hope that helped

motoman its definatly the H3c. i have the jdm headlights, i wasnt aware i was getting jdm lights and they sent them to me with no plugs rings etc. for the back.

ill try the H3, i wonder if i can make an adapter for the H3 to meet up with my usdm light plug.
its worth a try id think.
i installed and hooked up the low beams for the moment so i could ride to the store lol

any ideas on an backyard built adapter? im going to the parts store tomm.

it would be easy to make an adapter, but you would need the male pig tale for the stock high beam plug. if you can find that, its only 2 wires and super easy.

i do my best. i dont reply to all the threads, but i do reply to the ones where i have some info about.

there is a lot i am still trying to learn about (offsets, suspension, alignments, and other various things) but for the most part i have a ton of knowledge about s14's and try to give it away lol

glad you gave me some recognition. THANKS!!!

i think this mazda guy is doing exactly what you were saying about grounding out etc. with the light.

doesnt look bad at all, very simple if you ask me, but makes me curious how long the bulb will last.
dunno, worth a shot.

if you look just to the left of his red circle there is a male spade terminal. i cant remember if the jdm zenki lights have that or not, but i have seen others that do. if they do you can just use it.

it should affect the longevity of the lights. since its still just power and ground from the existing headlight wiring. you know. but either way a set of those h3's on ebay are only 10 bucks. and work just fine. and you can get them in any color you want.
