It's time to get myself another Q. My F50 is ramping some miles that I've decided to get a G50 (94-96). I like the G50 for one thing, it rekindles my memory in 1991 when I first drove one. The handling and steering response for a 4-door sedan was unbelievable. The power and clean lines of the car just magnitized me.

So it's time to shop....None of the G50 that are for sale in my area would not even qualify as a clean car. I couldn't believed that these present owners basically junked these cars. I felt sad looking at these magnificent cars being not taken care off properly. They advertised these cars as 'clean in/out', and to my dismay there are junk.

Oh well, there would be more G50 available. I would also consider Y33!

Anyone selling their clean G50?

Thanks fellow members. Happy Holidays to all!!

my Q is always for sale to the right owner!!! Doubt youd pay for it though (and less inclined to sell now that it actually runs close to my standards)..

CLEAN G50s are getting really hard to come by nowadays... Theres a cleanish 95 on ebay right now, paint looks to be in AMAZING condition, 9/10 interior....

The G50 interior despite its high quality materials really doesnt show the test of time very well sorta like the old BMW nad other german cars that used the high quality napa leather....

Your best bet is to find a super clean cosmetic one and fix it up mechanically. I would say that there really are probably no G50s for sale that dont have at least 1-2 major problems which can include cosmetic problems....

What's your budget?

Like Wes, mine is for sale to the right buyer. There is plenty here in the ATL and I run across cars for sale all the time. Let us know what you're looking for (color, miles, "deal makers or deal breakers") and maybe we can help.

If I offered you my car for just half the price of the money I spent this year in maintenance and repairs, you would still say it's too much

In all seriousness, take your time and find the beauty you are seeking. Don't rush it. There are still many good ones to be had. Good Luck!

Thanks guys. I'm going to check out a 94a with 125K miles. The owner (2nd) is asking $4500.00. Judging by the pics, it looks clean. He'd owned the car for 10 years. Obviously, my concern is the dreaded active suspension maintenance/expense. My budget is around $5K, and this does not include additional $$ to make it in top condition.

Dont buy a Q. That is the BOTTOM LINE

You will need at least an extra 2 grand out fo the hole to get everything up to spec and then you can toy around from there on things that may not be needed.... Then throw in some extra for the active suspension.

Yup in the 3 years or so ive owned the Q prob close to 10 grand in maint incl active accumulators from texasoil and theres still some things need to be done but then again some monkey did work on the car before i bought it and it was a bit of a mess and i drive it really hard so some of that is my own fault. good luck in your search

Every used car has deferred maintenance, hence the discounted price.

If $4500 is your budget, look for a simple four cylinder car that costs no more than $2K so you can effect the necessary repairs.

Personally, I would drive the F50 because depreciation doesn't slow very much just because you are not driving it.

Yea.... I will also be looking for another Q because my current one will probably be salvaged. I might just buy it back at an auction though and then get it repaired if possible.
