ok...so i got my early christmas gifts tonight and so ofcourse i went to put it on...

a front mount kit and the hks hotpipe kit...so i put it all on and the hotpipe doesnt line up just quit to the fmic but it works just makes the fmic stick out some...

so after working on it for a while it was "done" started it up...let it warm up and it seems i have a vacum leak...vac is a 20 but the bov is not loud(as hks ssq should be) and the idle goes to like 200 when off the gas...

thanks for the help!

check your intercooler connections for boost leaks.

do boost leak test. also, is your bov vented or recirculated. if everything is stock for the most part make sure to recirc. venting can cause to run rough.

since you have the HKS SSQV, im assuming you're running it atmospheric. adjust your IAC a little higher for now. it's located on the intake manifold, between runner 2 and 3.

you could just make it more sensitive, right? your bov, i mean. and for your idle, i would first think it's a boost/vacuum leak. my idle didn't change much when did my FMIC install.. but my idle was always kind of funky anyway.

hmm.. i dunno, man. i'm guessing all your piping is tight, otherwise the motor would hardly run. do you have a lot of Ts on the bov vacuum line? like, is there a bunch of other stuff tapped into the same source? i'm running out of ideas.did you check for that adjustment screw? i've heard that different generations of the hks ssqv did and did not have the ability to adjust. pictures? those are always fun.
