has any one ever heard of frp as a body material. it stands for fiberglass reinforced plastic. raceonusa.com uses it on all there body parts and they have really cheap prices. im sure its just the same fiberglass most cheap kits use or if its any different.... i saw the site last night and makes me change my mind about body kits. they have some great cheap kits for our cars im just not sure about the construction or durability. any feed back would be sweet.

FRP = Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic

I have no experience with body parts made from this material but there is another thread where some people chimed in. You may want to check it out.

FRP is used on a number of cars from the factory. i know corvettes and some other american cars ('maros and fieros) use this. saturns use it as well too. it is more durable than just regular fiberglass and keeps its shape better. FRP is not the same as fiberglass. if you have a choice between fiberglass and FRP, you better damn well choose FRP. and incase something did happen, FRP is much easier to work with imo.

fitment on my raceonusa.com kit was ok, but the sideskirts were very thin. as for the front bumper it did take quite a bit of work to get it to fit. i really wasn't pleased with the way they treated me and would never buy from them again. they didn't tell me that they didn't make a vertex copy for the fastback rear and sent me the coupe one and of course they are totally different bumpers. they put me in lingo for like 4-5 months saying that the distributer that they buy from hadn't even made the fastback copy, but was going to locate one for me. they never did and i had to get my money refunded. not very honest people as they shouldn't have sold me the entire kit if they knew that they didn't have the right bumper for me. the frp they claim is really not all that great. my b-magic rear that i'm about to put on soon looks to be of a better material and construction.
