My front and rear left windows are frozen...won't wind down. I can see the door flex when I try to wind down. I turned the car on to warm it up for 20min, but that didn't help. I believe they should wind down once the temp warms up, but I don't think this should have happened regardless. There is NO ice around the windows at all. I believe this happened because water somehow got inside and on the motor...how else would it freeze? Is this something that can be permanently fixed? Should i get the motor changed? Has anyone else had this issue?

I had this happen about a month ago. Came out in the morning and temps were very low (below freezing). Let the car warm up/turned on heat and drove to work which was another 30 mins. My windows were not going down even after I got to work which worried me.

Around lunch time I go back out to the car and the windows work again. Not sure what it was but I did hear a clicking sound of the window trying to go down. I had no ice around the window or anywhere else on the car. First time something like that happened to me.

Did you guys have any tears in the wiper on the outside? It could also be the lack of lubrication on the sliders. What we do here in the colder regions is oil spray against rust. They drill holes in strategic points on the car insert this long wand like instrument and spray goopy oil on the panels. The doors are part of that. You know they lube all the inside parts because the windows have the oil film on them for a few days after if you roll them down.

It's annoying but it happens. My passenger side front window has been frozen shut since December. LOL I hope to regain use of it once spring rolls around :bigthumb:
