Yes, I searched! The strangest thing happened today.... I was driving, listening to music, suddenly I notice that the screen (picture shown below) had frozen! Apparently it froze on 1st CD, 1st song at a certain second of playing, and that's what would appear on the screen, I couldn't press any of those buttons on the photo, none of them would do anything, they just weren't working! The only thing I could do, was switch songs, change volume and power off/on from the wheel controlers. I tried shutting the egnition off and starting it again, the problem persisted. When I drove home, shut the egnition off for a minute, turned on, everything seemed fine as if nothing happened. But I'm thinking, if it happened once, it might happen again. Any thought on this strange occurance?

MP3 or standard red book CD audio?

A poorly encoded or burned MP3 disc with corrupted data can choke the decoding software in the head unit. I've had it happen on my aftermarket DVD drive a couple times, though it usually unfreezes after turning it off and on.

A DATA CD was playing at the time, and all the buttons shown on the photo weren't working and the screen froze only showing CD number, track number and the second it froze on. Though the music was still playing and I could change songs through wheel control buttons, but that in-dash screen froze with all the buttons on it. After turning off/on (from the wheel) the problem persisted. It only went away after I turned egnition off for a minute.

My loosely based suspicion is that this wouldn't happen with a standard audio CD, and that the HU's software is just a bit buggy.
