So I got a little heavy handed and broke the idler adjuster bolt for the power steering belt on my Frontier. Nissan apparently only sells the idler as an assembly, so I thought I'd save anyone else with this problem the step of figuring out the measurement of the bolt. It's a M8 x 1.25 x 80mm. It actually measures 78mm long, but 80 or even 90 would be fine.

In my case I couldn't find one at Lowes, Home Depot, NAPA, O'Reilly, Auto Zone, or Advance Auto. Napa had a place for one, but no bolt. Everyone else didn't even stock it. Instead of waiting for a few days for one to arrive, I was able to scavenge some from the Pull-a-Part. Nothing like a 10 minute belt replacement that turned in to a four hour project. It appears that both 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder versions of the 00-04 Frontier and Xterra all use this same bolt, if you're hunting a donor vehicle.

good info. ACE Hardware generally has a pretty good selection of metric bolts too.
