FRONTIER PRO EX-VAPOR CANISTER ?

Greetings- first post

Not very car savvy, so hoping for some advice.

70K service performed, 2 days later check engine light on

Back to dealer, advised VAPOR CANISTER for engine emissions needs replacement. dirt in the canister.

OK, I advise, but then presented with a $958.04 invoice for replacement parts, and 2 days after this inspection, check engine light now off.


In reviewing replacement parts on Nissan parts.com

ok

but

Part number 17221-9BG0B- Filler tube, which appears to be the tube that feeds gas from the pump to the gas storage tank


Do I really need this @ $334.46?

Not sure if necessary or dealer just adding parts to run up price?

Any advice greatly appreciated

There's a bulletin for all the Frontiers '05~'19 for P0448, it calls for replacing both the canister and fill tube. If that's the code you had, they would have performed the bulletin verbatim:
