I had just replaced a new power steering pump on my 2004 Frontier 3.3L motor. When I make a hard turn the steering wheel. It makes a vibrating sound such as rubber rubbing together feeling. Can anyone steer me in the right direction.

Did you properly bleed the system?
Do so by jacking up the truck and setting the front on jackstands. Start it up and saw the wheel back and forth a few times lock to lock with the reservoir cap off. Will bleed air out of the system and maybe that notchy feeling will go away.

If it persists, start looking for binding. There is a worm gear in the steering box that has an adjustment, but that mostly just helps with excessive steering wheel play.
