Frontier, Pathfinder, xterra front end squeek

Hello All! I have read some posts on this site before and have now decided to join. I purchased a crew cab nismo last fall. it had a very annoying squeek in the front end that i never got a chance to diagnose. I rolled the love of my life a month after buying it! I spent hour after hour online searching for another truck but none could compare. i finally decided on an xterra off road. Guess what? It HAD the same annoying squeek as the fronty. It would squeek at low speeds and when I would close the passenger side front door. I noticed that the top front of the hood was not flush with the fenders as was the back of the hood. I greased the bump stops under the front of the hood. Still squeeking. I then replaced the bump stops with new ones and the hood rested flush with the fenders. I then took a can of white lithium grease and hosed down the hood catch and the locking mechanism. NO MORE ANNOYING SQUEEK!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope this helps any one still trying to locate this specific problem.
