Does anybody know if the 6 speed manual transmission in the new frontier is the same as the 350Z. I know ratios might be different but is the casing the same?

I'd ahev to say from the lack of responses that no-one knows the answer to your question.

But I am going to go out on a limb and say they are completely different.

The Frontier transmission is designed to be mated to a married transfer case. It's also designed to take the abuse of hauling and towing. The 350's is not.

The 350's transmission is a close ratio setup. Not so with the Frontier.

But if you really want to be sure you can always ask the parts guy at a Nissan dealer and he can tell you based on serial numbers if they are the same or not.
