[QUOTE=NM50]Mold Datsun roadster fenders.

YES, BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO OWN THE MOLDS SENCE YOU WOULD PROBIBLY BE MY ONLY CUSTOMER.THE MOLDS WOULD RUN BOUT 500.00 EACH AND THE FENDERS 100.00-150.00 EACH.IF YOU KNOW OTHERS THAT WOULD LIKE A SET, YOU COULD ORDER THEM FROM ME AND RESALE THEM.(YOU WOULD HAVE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO THE MOLDS.)

Actually they are NLA parts as well as the hoods.I will be needing a pair but there are 3 or 4 different types.So quote me a set for molds with actual finished products.Gauranteed market for them.As well as a hood.I have been toying with the idea of fiberglass repops,I know that 80% OE parts are going for $400 apiece.

like I said in my previous post molds should run $1000.00 , without seeing them I can only guess at the prices.the parts $300.00 a set (again a guess).can you e-mail me detailed pics. so I can get a better idea of what we're talking about.http://[email protected]

I just found a site dedicated to the 311 and looked at a lot of pics, the headlights and marker lights appear to be built into the finders,so that makes the molds a bit complicated because they become multi-piece molds which puts the molds around 1500.00 a set and parts at 200.00-250.00 each, but until I get my hands on a set and do some hard calculations it's still guesswork.

I would be interested in a custom hood for a pathfinder/QX4, either fiberglass or carbon fiber. Could you do it?

does the pathfinder/QX4 not share hoods with the frontier,I had a QX4 behind me today at a light and in the mirror the hood looked like frontier

Hmm, that's a good question for one of our techs... *ahem*

I could see the possibility as being very likely, but it all depends. They varied by year and I have the upgraded style for the pathies/QX4's that came out in mid year 1999.

Hopefully one of our fabulous techs can answer this for us.

NO. The frontier hood and Pathfinder hoods are very different. The body lines are in different locations and the Frontier hood is a tad shorter than it's Pathfinder cousin.

Now if you want a cowl intake hood from Nissan for your 2003 -2004 Frontier/Xterra....You can order them through Nismo. Just ask for the Turbo Diesel Nissan Navara hood. The diesel version in the land of Oz (Australia) has the intercooler on top of the engine. The intake cowl lines up with that item and it will fit the 3.3L North American Frontier and Xterra 2003-04 models. The only thing you would need to do is trim some of the cross supports and reinforce those areas. A Nissan warranty guy here in Calgary did the conversion and it looked sweet! To bad he sold the truck and bought a (YUCK) VERSA! At least it was another Nissan!

Thanks for the info. the hood on the silver 2nd gen. is what we call in the south a ram or forced air hood.what I'm talking about building is a cowl induction hood.

You need to contact the administration of NICO before trying to pitch products like this.
