Hello all, I'm a 20 something professional with a wife and a boy who needed something bigger than my Altima to facility fishing, a pair of large dogs, camping and sailing (Hobie 18). Packing the Altima for a camping trip was always a bit of a puzzle. Not to mention having to borrow a vehcile to pull the boat (only 2500 lbs all in).
Anyway, we looked at Xterras but I got a deal on the Pathfinder I couldn't pass up. So we bought a 2003 Pathfinder SE 3.5L 4x4 with ~ 63000 miles on it over the weekend. This seems to be the place to find information so lets start with a softball...
- The front wind deflector on the roof rack, the plastic piece that says "Nissan" vibrates every now and then. It must be certain angles of wind because it is not always on or off at a given speed. Upon inspection it looks to be slightly warped on the front middle, such that it creates a gap with the roof. The rubber piece is in place, but there is a 1/4" gap which (I'm guessing) allows air to get under it and starts it vibrating.
The question is - what can I do to fix this issue?
I have search the net and this forum, but there is much more discussion of rear wind deflectors or various roof racks. I figure this would be a common problem, but was wrong. Thanks in advance.
