to the best of knowledge, both wheels are driven, if only one was driven the car would pull to the left or right non-stop, now there are clutches inside the transmission that will allow one wheel to spin faster then the other that way you are capable of makin turns, because when you go around the corner the outside wheels have to spin faster then the inside wheels, the reason cars torque steer is because the driveshafts are not of equal lengths, so when you stomp on the gas the shorter driveshaft doesnt twist as much as the longer one and gets the power to the wheel slighty faster then the longer driveshaft, but if you are wondering if you pull the e-brake and dump the clutch and sit there to burn your tires are both tires goin to spin? odds are No. Only one tire is going to spin, the transmissions differential will only send power to one wheel. but for your drag strip launches, you will get power to both wheels. so hopefully i answered your question, maybe even some questions you didnt ask.

just some real quick info, all FWD cars drive both front wheels, but not all RWD cars drive both tires

I think he's asking about LSD(Limited Slip Differential)...of which i don't think our coupes have, only the 3.5s come with VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control)[Optional on 3.5] and TCS (Traction Control System)[Standard on 3.5].

it shoudl only pull to the left or right if you smash the throttle and only for a moment, and actually the a/c has very little torque steer for a FWD, so if your car is pulling constantly, its alignment is out.

It pulls ALL the time...I recently took a mini road trip and I noticed that the ride isnt as comfortable as my old car (tc). I kinda regret gettin rid of itI do have 20's I'm not sure if that makes a difference?

Check your wheel alignment.

your alignment is out, as for the ride quality thats the joy of 20's, those rims require you to have much less sidewall on your tires, therefore the tires arent absorbing the road as much, is your car lowered?, also dont regret letting the tc go, the a/c is way better, and thats not just because i own one, ive driven the tc.. its not bad... just the a/c is better

No its not lowered I would like to get it lowered eventually, a/c turns many more heads then the tc

I went ahead and contacted the dealer ...Thanks for all the info

Regarding putting bigger wheels and tires on the car, does it lighten the steering up with the bigger tires? Does the steering start getting a little squirrely with 19's and 20's?

Phillip,

I have 19's and didn't notice a difference aside it handled better. That's probably more due to the better tires though.

if the wheels weight less then yes from what I have read handling does improve, but how much I am not sure.

fwd can have open and lsd front diffs, open will allow the tire with least tration to get power

lsd will give power to tire with least traction after a certain threshold it will give equal power to both
