Recently the front drivers side wheel bearing on my 1994 nissan 240 sx took a ****. I know how the whole assembly is set up. You have the hub/rotor assembly and the bearing resides inside the hub. My only question is, are the sealed wheel bearings pressed into the hub? Or can i just remove the rear snap ring and use a backyards mechnics approach of using a C clamp and a 2x4 block of wood on each side and try to press the bearings evenly myself? Even aftermarket for some reason the bearings for my car were 80$ a piece.

AFAIK (and looking at my old 4 lug hubs) the bearings are a part of the hub itself.

PJ PJ PJ, you should know better after all your work with 5lug swaps and playing with hubs. :D

No the bearings are not rebuildable, they are a cartridge unit that need to be pressed in or out of hte hub. I did one myself on my old S13 and it took a lot of hammering and i had to use a propane torch to heat up the hub to help release it. :ylsuper OH YEA WD40 and a torch make big flames! He he

Bearing are expensive, its was like 75 for mine IIRC, but i saved money doing the work myself. Just remove the lock ring and start pounding. You can use the old bearing to help press in the new one.
