anyone have an extra metal 1983-86 front valance kickin around or no where I can get one? Mine is to bent up to think about straightening and I'd like to chrome one. All the replacement valances I can find on the internets are plastic.

I'd try straightening yours. If I see one anytime soon I'll let you know. They are pretty messed up most of the time anyway. seem people like hit things with it.

Also I am guessing you are talking about the lower airdam? cuz mine is F'd on one side.

I got mine a while back from http://www.autopartswarehouse.com

Not sure if they still carry them, though. I heard that plastic ones are all you can find anymore. I can tell you now, there are no chrome ones.

Mine rusted to almost nothing and replaced it with a mildly dented up unit off a truck a guy was parting out and straightened it up some before putting it on..... now it's a little bit more dented.
Such is life.

lol, sound like the person with the cleanest 720 is the one who still has an undamaged airdam.

yeah I know about the plastic ones. mines to dinged to get straight enough to chrome. I don't care if its not chromed, i was going to send it out to be chromed if I could find one in a decent enough shape. I think a plastic one painted chrome would probably turn out looking like crap and cheap.

I"m sure making a new one isn't that hard. Plus you could make it out of something a little thicker and have it mount up nice. My friend are about to start welding and start fabbing what we can, I might try and see what I could do with that. I want to have a productive summer of making stuff, from things for work to cars and trucks.

I am thinking start boxy and get smoother from there.

Also in general I;d rather have sheet metal than plastic car parts.

yeah um thats alot of round stuff there. I know some about machining and what not but I don't have a clue as to how to replicate some thing like that with out like a negative mold and a press. think they were stamped out.

Took out mine and straightened it. Wasn't too bad but I'm thinking about doing over one out of fiber glass. Won't mind selling if I decide to make the new one.
