As you all know, there are no options available to us when it comes to strut bars or even sway bars on the market. So I have done some research and contacted Scott Bush from Relentless Autosports to see if he can make one for the M35's. I wanted to gauge the interest level for Scott Bush to make a batch of Front Tower Strut bars for the M35. If you look online he makes top of the line strut bars that actually have a purpose/functionality and G35/350Z owners have nothing but positive things to say about them. The bar itself uses a unique triple point design where it bolts up to the shock tower AND the control arm to really tie the front suspension together. It also comes with a lifetime guarantee!
I am going to call him to see what kind of costs we are looking at but like anything the more people = less costs.
I am looking for this front tower strut bar to eliminate the need for sway bars since they dont make any for our cars anyways. So I am kind of expecting a cost of somewhere between $300-$500 for this. When he did a groupbuy for the G35's is was $450 for 10 people with a 50% deposit.

Let me know your thoughts and any questions you would like for me to ask Scott.

1. I think this would be very cool--anything to help the performance/handling of my car
2. Would this also fit the Y50 M45? with the engine covers on or do they need to be cut/modified/removed?

there was a member from a ways back who had one fabricated for the M, but can't remember who he used...i also think one is available from JDM, but it's prolly over $1000 once it's shipped from Japan.

I think I need Dean to chime in---he's super handy...I'm surprised he hasn't fabricated one himself or maybe that's a project he's working on. :dblthumb:

The ones that he made for the g35's had to have the engine cover removed and you needed to have an aftermarket intake. It will not fit with the stock airbox.
I am sure he can make it to fit the m45 engine bay.

I looked up that thread--it was Hoshtaylor, and Relentless Autosports was who worked with him to fabricate it.
Unfortunately the pics of it aren't live any more, but from what I remember of it...VERY nice!!!: black powdercoated with 3 attachment points, plus the engine covers could stay on. I think it was close to $500, but he sold it for less since he got rid of his M and got a QX.

If RA could make it for under $500, I'd be interested in one.

Scott, how many folks do we need for the group buy to make this happen?

Craig
