I found another problem with my car: the front timing cover has a hole in it from where the p.o. tried to put a longer bolt in to mount the distributor. i dont want to pay $400.00 for a new one, so is a 95+ timing cover the same as my 93? i can get a deal on a used one.

I cant really imagine what this hole would look like, but someone has just installed to long of a bolt and it busted through the other side? Just pop it off and bring it to your local welding shop, they could close that hole up quick and easy.

Fairly sure s14 front upper cover is different, as in they dont interchange.

the S14 upper cover wont work with the S13 head, it would leak on the exhaust side.

and i pulled the old bolt out saturday to find it coeverd in rtv **** so when i was cleaning the mating surface to put the front cover back on i noticed it. when i asked the mech at the shop he said thats caused by a bolt pushing it out.

I've got one or two lying around if you are interested. One is off a 93 and the other would be off of a 91

email [email protected] I won't be able to check my email until Saturday though.
