i have a 90 240sx with ka24de. for some odd reason my swaybar started grinding on my lower pulley. im not sure which pulley it is but its really annoying and im pretty sure its not good lol.. it only does when i turn and when i hit bumps. i think it my be the tensioner pulley but any ways, what might be the problem? engine mounts? and by the way, i have a lowering kit but i dont think thats whats causing it. please help

Check out the endlinks and D-brackets of the sway bar to see if they came loose or even broke.

Wow.

That's not good. Betting it's your crank pulley, snice it's the closest.

Has the car been wrecked? There's quite a bit of distance between the two, so either your bar is damaged or your engine has dropped too low in the cradle...

Pics would help. A lot.

I can't imagine the sway bar getting ANYWHERE near any other pulley.

I was installing my new sway bars the other day and I thought of this thread. With new Nismo mounts I have at least 4" of clearance from the bar. It would take s a serious motor mount failure to have them sag that much.My guess is that the sway bar was removed recently and installed upside-down.

Sounds like you have the worst motor mount sag reported on these forums, congratulations!

Definitely look into some new motor mounts.

trans mount as well, if it's that bad there's a chance that's torn as well.

Good God, no kidding.

I lowered my engine almost 2" in the cradle AND added a thicker front bar, and I'm still nowhere near what's in those pics.

did you at least inspect them? If they're that bad off id make sure the engine was at least secure in it's current position. Even if you gotta strap the motor mount brackets to the subframe haha
