I have been noticing a noise coming from front end recently- while I had Q in for its oil change last wednesday, tech found pass side lower rubber bushing missing from end link!!!! these bushings were last replaced about 80,000 miles ago. Here is my question- is there any reason to replace the end links or should I just replace the rubber bushings???? Both end links are original { 253,000 miles on them} what are the telltale signs of the endlinks themselves needing replaced as opposed to just replacing the rubber bushings??????? End links are about $100 per pair without bushings.

the ball/socket may wear over time resulting in a click/pop/clunk when the body roll loads up the joint. since you have been loose (for how long?) you may have avoided some wear.
I replace the end links on both G50 at about 110k. the old ones weren't clunking, but i wanted everything as tight as i could get it.

i would definitely replace the frame sway bar bushings as well as the end link bushings regardless. those are cheap. would also get new one use end nuts for the link to lower control arm (have nylok insert) make sure to torque the frame brackets to 34 ft-lb, i had one that was not loose, but was not at full torque, and it would pop when turning. drove me crazy.

As of today, I have put 24,000 miles on these and all is good....highly recommend over the overpriced factory part.
