Hey everyone, its been awhile but ive got another "brain buster" for yous. Bought a 1990 300zx a few years back and after doing this that and some other stuff ive come to the suspension. Ive replaced the stock with kyb struts and tein Htech coils. Heres where the problem lays. With the hood open i push down on the bumper and i see my struts moving up and down, not much, maybe an inch. (Oh yeah it once had electronic adjusters but theyve been gone long before i bought it) Theres a plate that goes on top the strut assembly it was convex(rounding to the top) i flipped it so its concave. It seems to stop the movement of the struts but im not sure if its correct. Are there specific parts, spacers that need to be put in place to compensate for the removal of the electronic crap? Thanks in advance. :gotme

They shouldn't move at all. Do you have the upper strut mounts installed?

Should look something like that. I know those aren't KYBs

yeah i got the strut mounts all in place. Your picture helps thanks alot. It seems maybe i need some new bushings or something.. This car was haked by some previous owner/s so therre may be some parts missing in the upper strut assembly.
