I just took delivery of a 2010 G37 X this last week. Nice car, drives great and good features. I am coming out of a 2003 BMW 530i which was quiet and solid as a tank. I have no problems or questions about the car except for one; when driving on surfaces that are anything but very smooth above 30 mph, I am hearing normal tire noise accompanied by some variable "strumming" noises coming from the front of the car that is fairly constant. Sounds like the tires are transmitting road vibrations into the metal of the suspension which transmits noise into the cabin. I did not notice on the test drive or another G37x I drove while mine was being prepared for delivery. Tires were a bit overinflated when delivered...I reduced and that helped a bit. The tires are in perfect balance and it tracks perfectly.

first thing would be to take it to the dealer, maybe the tires are wacky after sitting for a week or two

I'll drive it for 1,000 miles and let suspension and tires settle in a bit before taking it back to the dealer. I am beginning to think it relates to the tires.......

I have a 2008 G35 and have the same rattling noice from the left front suspension when I drive over rough roads. The dealer replaced the wheel bearing once and the shock once and the noice is still there. It is really bugging me. Most people don't even hear it when driving in my car. Let me know how yours is handled.
