My 2005 Quest needs front struts and strut mounts. Of course I would like to avoid having to compress these gigantic springs, so looked into KYB Strut Plus but there is no product for the Quest. Monroe QuickStruts are a POS. Are there any other ready to install strut-spring combos worth looking at?

Sure! I love the sound of that: "tech-ni-ti-an". That words by itself sounds like tons of $$.

I wouldn’t be concerned with compressing the springs. Just get yourself a good set of spring compressors and go for it.
I think any coil overs you would have to get from Japan

Strut assemblies are technically coilovers.

Any preassembled strut you can get will be cost effective (crap), I used to sell them. They never match customer expectations. They often don't match the OEM damping as well, as there are 20 different types used in the OEMs but you only get usually one quikstrut choice.
