front strut tower brace for J30?
is there a front strut brace for the 93 J or any that will fit without modification?

1. Measure the distance between the center of the strut bolts.
2. Lay a straight piece of metal across them, and measure the engine clearance, or the negative clearance.
3. Measure the diameter of th center line of the bolts that hold the struts in place.
I (as well as others) have been successful in modifying a Maxima/I30 Strut tower brace for my '94 Q. It only took me about an hour wiht a drill, hack saw, file, and a can of flat black paint.
I bought the Strut Tower Brace off of eBay for $17.00

I was under the impression, you had a J30t, Are you saying the I30/Maxima FSB fit the J30, like a glove?
If that is the case, WOHOO!
Give me your impression of the handeling difference.
My '94Q stears like I took 1000# off the front-end, with the FSB. It actually feels a little lighter in the turns, but it seems as if the oversteer has been reduced, and it is easier on the tires.
The I30t can hold a tighter turn radius, without body roll, and give me more confidence. I am afreaid it is harder on the tires, but I don't see any excessive wear, yet. My wife drives the I30t, and she is really hard on tires. The first set of Bridgestones were smoothe on the edges at 25,000 miles. She has less than 10,000 on the second set, so we will see.
