I am starting Batch #7 of these. I have a new supplier, and the pictures of his product look good. I think it will be as good or better than the last few batches I have done.

I know it has been a while since I did a batch. If you have contacted me via email or in other posts, and are interested in this product, please PayPal me $50.00 now. This includes shipping to the lower 48 US.

If you live outside of the 48 contiguous states or the country, please contact me for a total cost with shipping. The strut bars fit in a FedEx tube, and weigh approximately 4 pounds. Most shipping costs are around $7 to $10. Anything above that is extra, anything below that, I keep .

If you are not aware of this product, please post a question, and I will do my best to answer. I have sold hundreds to NICO members, so you might get answers from just about anybody on the board.

I will order the material tomorrow, and should get it in by February 21st. Then, if everything goes smoothly, I will have them modified, and shipped out by March 1st. I am ordering enough bars for 20 people, so first come, first serve.

If you want to use a check or money order, that is fine, send me an email, and I will give you a mailing address. I won't ship before the money is sent, so please don't ask.

Here are a couple shots of the bars on mine and customers cars:

First style with round hats (the hats were kinda flimsy)

Later design with funky colored hats and chrome bolts

Jeff... have you found a way to make a bar that will work reliably for the Active suspension set up? And, can you make one that can be installed by the partially retarded (ie, ME)?

Thanks!

Yes, I can cut the hat so you don't have to remove the hydraulic lines. All you do is remove the plastic cover, unbolt the small black brackets, and loosen the bolt that holds the hydraulic line in place. You can then slip on the hats, tighten back the 2 strut bolts, then isntall the brace and finally tighten the single bolt in the accumulator and reinstall the plastic hat. It is not much more difficult than the non-active cars, really.

by the way, my PayPal address is my email address: [email protected]

the pic is from my car. for Ross and Bruce, since i know you are both interested:the PS cleared no worries. on the DS, i had to loosen the two hollow bolts at the flange where it attaches to the upper mount/actuator and rotate CW for clearance to the cross bar.also on the active, i found the 'hats' which are already notched to slip over the hydraulic tube would fit more flush on the strut tower if i removed about another inch so that it was not straddling the overlapping sheet metal.

last advice (active and non) is to put yer floor jack under the front cross member and jack up until there is just a little weight on the ground, then adjust the crossbar nut until snug. yes, this preloads, will possibly remove *some* negative front camber, but takes all the residual slop out.

GQ Jay, please tell me which side you removed more material, so I can do it all on the front end. Maybe send me a picture of that area.

To all who have paid, Thanks.

Also, Please make sure you send me a phone number to go with the shipping address. I use FedEx Ground, and they require a phone number. The one shipment that the guy didn't send me a phone number got lost, and it took an extra week to get it to him. One guy, on eBay wouldn't send me his home address, and wanted me to ship it to a UPS store. The UPS store refused the FedEx shipment (I would have liked to see that conversation).

I have 6 that have paid, and 12 that were interested before.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP or PayPal me.

These are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don't delay.

If I remember this is most beneficial when you have new struts up front? Would I feel any difference at all with original struts from 94? ie Is it worth it for me?Thanks Jeff for all you do for NICOnauts.

You'll notice the difference. Steering response will be much tighter. It's the cheapest easiest improvement you can make to the Q's handling. I was amazed at the difference.

I have 11 of the bars committed through PayPal or money order so far.

There were about 10 guys that were interested before, and I have sent emails to them, giving them first dibbs.

Right now, whoever pays first gets them. If I dont' sell all 20 by the time I am ready to ship, I will put the rest on eBay.

The materials are on there way to my garage machine shop right now. I will give you updates when the stuff gets in, and let you know when they are ready to ship. I use FedEx, so each of you will get a tracking number when I ship them.

GQJay, thanks for the pictures. I like what you have done. I will cut the active bars like that in the future.

17 of the 20 are called for. There are 2 posters in this thread that have expressed interest, but have not sent me PayPal or a check or money order.

As of today, there are 3 left in this batch.

If you want one of these 3, please contact me.

I expect to get the material in this week, and get them modified next week and shipped out by the 26th. I will keep you all posted.
