I just had my dealer quote me a price for replacing both front struts. at 85k I figured it was about time. S&*%!!!!!!!!!! $400 for parts I can handle but damn, they want $870 and change for the job. That's over $470 in labor alone. Just how freaken hard can this job be that I can't farm it out to an indy shop?

Have you priced these at another muffer/suspension shop?

Aftermarket struts will cost you about $100 each. Alignment afterwards would also be around $100

From looking over the procedure in the shop manual I don't think this would be an overly difficult job.

Unfortunately, there re no aftermarket strut for the Murano. I have to use factory parts.. The labor issue is the sticking point. How they justify almost $500 in labor for a strut change is beyond me.
