There has been good public discussion of the
Versa spring problem. Almost all of this has been confined to the "salt states". That is, those states where the Feds. say they use salt on the roads.
Well I live in a "no salt" state, and both springs on my 2011 Versa fractured. The car has about 72,000 miles. Naturally, there was no help from Nissan, and local garages quoted me $1,050 and over $1,200 to do the job.
Rock Auto delivered a set of "loaded" KYB struts to my door for less than $300.
Everyone who has had this problem should complain to NHTSA at the website below.
This is the only way to force any help from Nissan.
